People have been loving Instagram stories since they came out. It’s a great way to share what you’re doing at that same exact moment without worrying too much of the pic quality as if it were going onto your gallery. These images or videos last 24 hours then disappear forever. However, you can only upload things taken or filmed in the past 24 hours. If not, then forget about it.
But what if we told you there are a few tricks to get around this? Well, one of the simplest ones is taking a screenshot of the picture you want, crop the excess parts and just upload it! But bear in mind that this method may reduce the image quality in most cases. Later also has a free media library where you can upload all the content you’d like whenever you’d like. So if you upload a picture to Later and then download it onto your camera roll, the date on it will change to that exact time you’re in.
Another option that is quite a bit more tricky is changing the metadata of the picture. The metadata is all the information about a photo (when it was taken, shutter speed, ISO, etc). That way you can trick Instagram into thinking it was taken in the last 24 hours. However, in the future many other third-party apps will be appearing to help us out with this more easily, so we won’t need to worry as much.
